Shi - to recognize, knowledge (know how to play Shi Tai Ye, it's all in the mind)
Tai - form, attitude, state, condition (to hold a stable and clean shape for your stack)
Ye - grandfather, uncle, father, grandpa (associated with knowledge/wisdom I assume)
If there are any native speakers out there who know this is wrong, please message below. Thanks!
It may also mean Great Grandmaster in Shaolin martial arts terms.
