Is this by any means still up-to-date?
 

It has been ages since I was actively playing Cultris II myself, people nowadays can possibly not remember me at all because of my insignificance. Never became that good, and back then, I was young and stupid. I could imagine taking up this task, as I kinda am seeing a good game dying in front of me. My technology stack would most likely evolve around:

- PHP in the backend, and MySQL as basis for the database. WordPress might possibly be the foundation CMS-wise, but I possibly come up with something VERY custom.

- Usage of modern HTML 5 and JavaScript in the frontend, and CSS where it is really required.
